[The school is empty. The school is quiet. The only sound that cuts through the silence is the soft ticking of the hallway clocks that mark the passing of each second.]

[At least. . . until a stiff breeze whips through the classrooms, scattering dirty papers and jerking the curtains aside. The clock strikes 6:00 a.m.]

IMPORTANT: For this game, time is going to be a little EEEEH WAGGLES HANDS, funky! The game itself will last an OOC 24+ hours (ending on Sunday evening), but characters will only be trapped for at most three hours or so ICly. Time will begin it's 1:1 ratio after the first game!

[You stumble free from your hellish prison into the open space of a school gymnasium. Some of you probably made it out just fine! Some of you might be sporting a few bloody injuries. And some of you–]

[. . . well. . .]

[At any rate, the school gymnasium is exactly as advertised: a completely normal gymnasium. There are bleachers flanking each side of the court; those who mysteriously disappeared mid-class, or who missed the ordeal entirely, can be found sprawled out on top of them, fast asleep and completely unharmed. Lucky them!]

[As for the rest of you. . . there are no immediate medical supplies in the vicinity, so you may have to make due with scraps of clothing and a good scrub down in the bathroom. But it looks like you are now free to mingle with the other homerooms! And explore the school to your heart's content!]

[Well. Ena is definitely stumbling into this gym, a little bloody but overall not too badly off, wiping irritably at some of the coagulated blood that has trickled from her ear down her jaw.

( mafuyu stumbles out, aided by hoshimi, dressed in dark blue gym shorts, a white t-shirt that's stained red by now, and two dark blue track jackets on top of each other. her hair is clearly just dried from rain, and winding up her left leg is a tattoo of a vine of ivy, from her ankle to her hip. her cheek and legs are covered in thin cuts and she's deathly pale- but she's alive. shes' free.

all of her class is...

she slumps to the ground in relief and fear alike, trembling as she tries to calm down.

( eloquent! but it's quickly followed with the thudding of footsteps, familiar purple hair- and then

up until mafuyu pulls back. )

Why are you here?!

[ Along with the rest of Team Kenkou, Tifa bursts out of one of the doors flanking the gymnasium in a panic. One of her wrists and the opposite ankle are bloodied from some sort of restraint gouging deeply into the skin. As soon as she realizes she's safe, she falls to one knee as she tries to catch her breath.

She sends a panicked look around, but there's no sign of that thing, even though it had been right at their window.

More than that, though, there are other people here — also in uniforms, though they seem to be color-coded differently. Either way, she's going to need a few seconds to catch her breath before she can do anything else. ]

[mogger]

[ yuffie stumbles out, bleeding from her legs and looking pissed rather than scared. but is that the truth? ]

[ she rips off the arm of her tracksuit, wrapping up her legs, before turning to look at you: ]

Hey. Gimme some of your clothes, and I'll bandage you.

[ she's assuming you're a victim like her ]

[It's strange that she didn't expect this, given that Mizuki showed up with her. But that familiar purple hair followed by that hug is a shock nonetheless, and Ena freezes, eyes wide--

And Mafuyu will feel a light cocktail of fear and anger at the whole situation and desperation and deep, deep relief--

And then Ena pulls back, eyes wide.]

Ma--

[ Maybe this should have been foreseen, but Mizuki (who bears gashes on an ankle and an arm) still sort of freezes in place for a minute before staggering over. ]

[Ena's not really in the right mental state to Help, of course, and yet... she can't seem to help herself, either. There's a young woman panting, down on one knee, and she absolutely gets it.

And through the remaining, lingering ringing in her ears:]

Hey--are you okay?

[ Ishmael doesn't "stumble in" so much as she wakes up from being a sorry, bloody heap on the floor. She sits up and starts starts frantically grabbing at her throat and limbs to try and pull off something that's no longer there.

Despite their attempts at making one last stand, they didn't stand a chance. The... thing... tore into them without a hesitation and as if they were no obstacle at all. The battle was lost before it even begun.

And yet, here she is. Alive. Not mended like it would have been if Dante had turned the clock. But alive.

For some reason, that feels like adding insult to injury. Frustrated and not knowing what else to do, she lets out an angry scream. ]

Relief shoots right back to alarm as his eyes do a sweep of the room. ]

[ Zuo Le wakes up with a jolt, going from sprawled out onto the gym floor to on his feet in a second, tail lashing violently behind him as he spins in spot, and--

Blinks in confusion as he founds himself in a new location, he's looking... a little more red than usual, his gym uniform sporting various cuts all along it, though his arms look like they received the worst of the damage.

He doesn't seem that concerned with his own state of being as his gaze combs through the crowd, trying to spot the people that he arrived with, stumbling forward a couple steps before managing to get his footing right. ]

[ she almost says tifa's name out loud, exclaiming in surprise, but manages to clap her hand over her mouth before anything else comes out. her eyes widen a little bit and she rushes over, though she's still bleeding from her legs ]

Those creeps got you too?! Is-- Is anyone else here?

[one of the lads in dark green is covered in red, wrists and neck bloody for sure with definite signs of being cut up by sharp threads.

but more importantly, he's ignoring that in favor of rolling himself over to cover his face and just BREATHE because AMAZINGLY? NOT DEAD???? but also half of his face is... crawling. or the skin's see-through and that side of his face seems to be made up of worms that are crawling. the other half of his face seems normal enough, except it's holding a smile like his life depends on it.

at least the wriggling seems to die down as he works to calm himself down? gosh.]

( a pause, and then she looks up at mizuki and very sincerely says: )

This place sucks.

[Every person on every homeroom will receive one of the following boons for their participation in PE class:

1) An item from home
2) The restoration of one of their lost powers
3) A slip of paper brimming with spiritual energy; it is an ofuda! Instead of the name of a shrine or deity, one of the following words is written on the front: fire, ice, lightning, stone, barrier, and stun. You may choose one ofuda from the list above. The slips are single use only, and may be used to cast the minor spells listed above! That is, "fire" can cast a fire spell, "barrier" will temporarily erect a shield, "stun" will paralyze someone for a short period of time, etc etc. Perhaps this is something to save for a rainy day?? This is the "I am a normie and have no abilities and may need an edge in ghost land" option but non-normies can choose this, too! If they wish!

All items from home and ofuda will be found laying on your dorm room coffee tables once you find your way there. Powers will be turned back on immediately. Remember that you may not regain healing and/or regeneration abilities.

To Anzen and Kin'un: every member of those two teams has a gold star sticker plastered onto their track suits. It says: "I tried to outsmart a ghost and all I got was this stupid sticker." Upon returning home, both teams will find a plate of fresh red bean buns sitting on their coffee table. A little treat, for being so clever! EVEN IF. . . IT DIDN'T WORK OUT. . .]

[To Shiawase and Kenkou: every member of those two teams has a gold star sticker plastered onto their track suits. It says: "Keeper of the keys." When they get home, both teams will find a few cute boxes of konpeito sitting on their coffee tables. A little reward for finding the keys!]

She pauses again, head tilting from one side to the other, nose scrunching up--it's difficult to converse like this through the ringing in her ears, but this is so much more important.]

I'm going by Botan, for now anyway. Blossom's here too. As in, Sakura blossoms.

[She figures Mafuyu can piece it together from that. She's the smart one.]

Maybe she's somewhere else, then... we gotta find her. [Because what are the chances only three of them would be spirited away like this? (Ha ha.)]

[ Rather than getting to enter the gymnasium on his own two feet, this guy is sprawled out on the floor. He's sliced up pretty badly along his arms and legs and his gaudy yellow track suit is covered in blood, but he's alive. Somehow. ]

[ He slams his fist on the gymnasium floor and shuts his eyes to block out the extremely pointed and very personal broken dolls lingering at the corners of his vision. ]
