[physical education 101]
Who: transfer students
When: July 1̷̝̤̳̙̫̭̻̝͓̄̇̾̀̕͝9̸̙̱̹͍̮̈́́̀̅͛̐̔̋ 20
Where: the. . . gymnasium?
What: an ice breaker
Warnings: moderate physical injury (not debilitating), psychological horror (absolutely debilitating)
[The school is empty. The school is quiet. The only sound that cuts through the silence is the soft ticking of the hallway clocks that mark the passing of each second.]
[. . .]
[At least. . . until a stiff breeze whips through the classrooms, scattering dirty papers and jerking the curtains aside. The clock strikes 6:00 a.m.]
[The school bell chimes.]

[glancing over at him! her injuries have been bandaged by now but he can still see that her veins where visible are black instead of blue]
no subject
But no practical answers. . . or any leads on where to find them.
no subject
Not yet, at least.
[does not seem particularly deterred]
no subject
. . . not yet.
I guess it's good to be bold.
no subject
I hate waiting.
[aaaand she's heading towards the doors as soon as she says that]
no subject
[hoping to his feet and stumbling after her]
-- yeah, I can see that!
Where are you going?
no subject
[this is a cooler way of saying she has no idea]
Or - we will, I suppose.
no subject
[definitely "we," for now!]
. . . you're okay, though? Already recovered from-- [. . .] -- whatever that was?
no subject
[looks up at the ceiling for a second, annoyed, before:]
I beg your pardon, I'm dealing with some kind of affliction, so you sometimes can't trust the things I say. Ignore that.
no subject
What kind of affliction?
no subject
[SIGHS!!]
Ignore that, too.
no subject
Yeah, okay. Easy enough.
. . . if it helps, I'm also freaking out.
[but he seems so calm]
no subject
[makes it to the doors and opens them up! when she moves her hands to push them open, he might notice she's missing the little finger on her right hand]
no subject
[VERY. . . WRY. . . as he follows her out the doors. and he does notice that missing digit; is it a fresh wound, or an old one?]
no subject
[dryly, but it's probably a joke in response to the wryness. as for the injury, it isn't bleeding anymore, but the wound doesn't look completely healed over yet.]
no subject
Shit, did it-- [ah. how does he put it?] Your hand. . .
no subject
Oh, no, that happened before I came here. Nothing to be concerned about.
[ok neve]
no subject
I have some torn fabric, if you need me to bandage it up. . .
no subject
[out of the gym we go.........]
no subject
. . . about as spooky as I expected.
no subject
[said with a small frown]
No wires or dolls, though, so that's an improvement.
no subject
None. . .?
[he says as he shiftily glances to the side]
no subject
[looks off into the distance
pauses]
Ah.
no subject
[inching in the opposite direction of the doll he sees dangling from the ceiling]
. . . maybe we should go the other way.
no subject
It seems easy enough to avoid. The trouble only started after someone touched it, back in that room.
