[The school is empty. The school is quiet. The only sound that cuts through the silence is the soft ticking of the hallway clocks that mark the passing of each second.]

[At least. . . until a stiff breeze whips through the classrooms, scattering dirty papers and jerking the curtains aside. The clock strikes 6:00 a.m.]

[ Make that two sighs of relief. It's nice to actually have an exit of things go south again.

You mentioned having a travel partner before waking up here. Is there any chance he's one of the people here?

No, it's doubtful. He would have found me while I was... indisposed if that were the case.

[ When she'd been on the ground clutching her head. It makes sense. The group isn't that big, and he is certain he would have immediately spotted a familiar face too had one been here. ]

[ It hadn't been on the forefront of his mind, but it had occurred to him pretty quickly after seeing her in this room with more people in it. It's hard to say if it's a good thing or not her friend isn't here too. ]

[ A small frown on his part, and a nod instead. He doesn't actually know her circumstances, but surely it just means she trusts her travel companion is fine despite the circumstances here, right? Zuo Le knows he's had his own he trusts to be able to handle these things better than him. ]
