Being careful's never a bad thing, but I'm sure there are some of us who can handle it!
[ Like him! The guy who can fly!
Also the guy who doesn't have enhanced durability anymore but he isn't as aware of that as he should be. ]
no subject
But, enough of my mishaps. I still can't wrap my head around how you were flying, without the aid of any wings. Is this natural to those of your world?
no subject
Uh... yes and no. Mostly no; I'm not the only one one, but it's definitely not common back home.
... Or, uh, not on Earth. My dad's an alien, so I kind of got it from him.
no subject
[earth as in dirt right. anyone who floats is 'not on earth'
what's Earth]
no subject
Huh?
[ what is this guy talking about
what is happening right now ]
no subject
Have I misunderstood?
[ HELP I'VE COMMITTED A SOCIAL FAUX PAS ]

[ Mark knows he isn't particularly. Smart. But he thinks he's smarter than this, surely? ]
What wordplay was I using...?
no subject
[earth lower case!]
no subject
Okay Mark smiles a touch at the revelation. ]
That's true!
[ A beat, because why were they both so confused before. Dimitri looks like a normal human, but, testing some waters here... ]
What planet are you from?
[ just chucking that out there ]
no subject
But if you wish to know where I hail from, it is the Holy Kingdom of Faerghus, on the continent of Fódlan.
no subject
Is that in Europe?
[ guy who is terrible at geography ]
no subject
with a laugh,] No, I don’t believe so. I think I’d have heard of Europe if that were the case.
no subject
[ Searching his memory. Has he ever heard of a Fódlan before. Did it ever come up in class. Was he sleeping or out superheroing during that lesson... ]
Well, a planet's like... a big ball of rock orbiting the sun in space. Or gas! Sometimes it's like a big ball of gas. [ Nodding to himself, he knows things. ] Everyone lives on one. But if you don't know Europe and I don't know Fódlan, then maybe we're from different ones?
[ that or he's stupider than he thought. both are possibilities ]
no subject
Weakly, trying to hide deeply confused he is, Dimitri can only laugh]
I suppose we’ll just have to accept our worlds are simply too different to be compared.
no subject
[ Mark is just openly wearing his confusion now. What is happening here... He shakes his head. ]
Nevermind worlds, I think we might be from different dimensions.
[ He looks up sharply. ]
This might be a different dimension.
[ That would make so much sense, actually. ]
