[physical education 101]

Where: the. . . gymnasium?
What: an ice breaker

[The school is empty. The school is quiet. The only sound that cuts through the silence is the soft ticking of the hallway clocks that mark the passing of each second.]
[. . .]
[At least. . . until a stiff breeze whips through the classrooms, scattering dirty papers and jerking the curtains aside. The clock strikes 6:00 a.m.]
[The school bell chimes.]

the thrilling sequel
It's a relief that she's able to get her to move at least a little bit before she stands her ground. Suzuha's hand is still holding on tight to her arm, though her gaze snaps up to her face, brows knit in frustrated confusion, at the question.]
That freaky doll, what else? It's right—
[She waves her hand to where she'd seen it, turning her attention back toward it only to find... well, suddenly it's gone.]
Shit. Where'd it go? It was right there, next to you!

Instead of just telling this girl that she must be seeing things, Tifa plants a hand against her chest and draws in a shaky breath. ]
Not more ghosts...
[ They completed the challenge and found the key; they got themselves out. Can't they be left alone now? ]
no subject
But she is taking another moment of somewhat frantic glancing around the area... and all there really is to find is just a gym with scattered groups of shaky and injured people. No dolls, no spiders, no strings.]
I could've sworn... [Man. She wouldn't think a near-death experience would get her that rattled, but. Well. Nothing about what had just happened was normal.]
Maybe... a false alarm. [She has the courtesy to look a little sheepish about it, at least.]
no subject
[ Also, who's to say that there wasn't something there and it just happened to vanish the moment that Tifa actually looked? She doesn't know how ghosts work; she only knows she doesn't like them (for the most part).
A pause, and she shoots the girl a mustered-up smile. ]
Even if it was a false alarm, you were so quick to try and pull me away from danger. I appreciate it.
no subject
It's then that Suzuha finally lets go of her arm. No (current) danger, no need to be ready to bolt at a moment's notice. The sheepish look of hers does give way to a small, relieved smile though.]
Hey, no problem. We've all gotta look out for each other in here, yeah? Never know what might happen.

[ Tifa takes another look around the gymnasium. Everything is still recovering from whatever it is they all went through, from the looks of it. She's still bleeding herself, but seems to have forgotten about the wounds on her wrist and ankle. ]
Now the question is if we can figure out how to get sent back to where we came from.
no subject
So trying to figure out a way to put an end to that is indeed the question of the hour.]
Yeah... kinda more difficult than just getting out of this building when we're talking whole different worlds people gotta get back to.
[Which is still wild to even consider. But there really is no other explanation.]
no subject
Yeah... we probably can't just walk out the front door, even if that was a possibility.
[ Although she'll still probably try that, just to see what's out there. ]
And it's hard to know how to get back when we don't know how we were brought here in the first place...
[ Sighs. ]
no subject
Well, I'm not gonna stop until we find a way out of here, that's for sure. If there's a way to bring us in, then there has to be a way for us to get out.
no subject
You're right. We just have to keep trying. And I'm right there with you.
[ She gives a pump of her fist for emphasis! ]
