[The school is empty. The school is quiet. The only sound that cuts through the silence is the soft ticking of the hallway clocks that mark the passing of each second.]

[At least. . . until a stiff breeze whips through the classrooms, scattering dirty papers and jerking the curtains aside. The clock strikes 6:00 a.m.]

[ Tifa nods. So it was all exactly the same? She glances around, trying to figure out how many different colored uniforms there are. ]

I don't know... but it looks like they're distinguishing us by color, too.

Did your classroom have a journal too? And a yearbook?

It did! The yearbook only showed the six of us, though. Someone thought that was way too few people to make up a class, though, and it looks like she was right.

Huh... so yeah, same exact scenario for all of us.

And you've got omamori too, I'm guessing, then. But in a different color.

Oh! Right. [ Tifa fishes the omamori out of her track uniform pocket. As Ena guessed, this one is dark blue. ] Someone on our team said these are meant to keep you safe?

[ She heaves out a sigh as she looks around at all the injured, though. ]

I'm not sure that it's working, though...

... Well. We're all alive, aren't we?

..... [ Grips her arm with her opposite hand and nods. ]

Guess that's true.

[ Then she glances back down to the omamori. ]

You're not supposed to open it, right?

Yeah, and you're supposed to keep it close by pretty much all the time.

[She shrugs a little.]

I've never had one work in my favor back home, but I'm not going to turn my nose up at this one.

Hmm...

[ Yeah, it's probably not going to do any harm to keep it on them. And if it was actually evil or something, surely someone would have sensed something weird by this point. ]

[ With that in mind, she tucks it away again. ]

[ Glancing away to see if she can find Usagi in the crowd, but it's chaos here right now, so she can't immediately spot her. ]

I wonder how common these are, then. I'd never heard of them before.

Back home you can get 'em at any shrine you pass.

She shrugs.]

And at least on my team, most of us are from Japan or... a Japan-adjacent place. I don't really know why, though.

Oh! Usagi from my group is also from Japan.

[Assuming this is from after Mafuyu jumped her--so Ena nods.]

Yeah, she's from the same place as me. We're friends back home.

I don't know why she ended up in a different class, though...

It's the same with me and Rose. You would think they'd put us together, but I don't really know why we've been split up like this in the first place...

But they put me and Blossom together... it really doesn't make sense at all.

Maybe it was just random?

It might take us some time to figure out if there was any rhyme or reason behind it.

But, I guess what matters most right now is we're out of those rooms.

[She groans a little, and shakes her head.]

Okay. Okay! I should... start looking around, since I'm not as rough as some of these other people look. We still need to find an exit.

[She has to stop stalling and look around the spooky school.]

Oh! I can go with you, if you need a buddy? It's probably not a good idea to wander around here alone.

Really? You don't mind?

[She perked up immediately, honestly... it's 2spooky out there.]

[ It is 2spooky but Tifa does better at handling the spooks when she has to look out for others, so... ]

Not at all. It's better to know what we're dealing with sooner rather than later, right? No more nasty surprises that way.

Right... ideally, there won't be any nasty surprises at all, though.

[Out into the gross, spooky hallway outside of the gym with them!

Ena jumps with a startled noise when she accidentally brushes a spiderweb with her hand.]

Ew--!

[ It would be one thing if they were going through a monster den or something. Tifa wouldn't have blinked at most anything in that case. But the added threat of ghosts just makes her jumpy.

So when Botan startles, she does too, yelping in a similar way as he grabs for the other girl's arm and tugs her away from whatever spooked her.

(She has gotta stop making contact with Shiawase girlies, rip.) ]

A-are you okay?!

[She really does. Tifa reaches out and immediately she'll get a proper wave of Ena's emotions--fear, and embarrassment to have jumped at a spiderweb, and exhaustion, and a simmering anger over the entire situation, lingering always.

She yanks her hand back quickly, swallowing.]

I'm fine! I'm fine. Sorry, it was just... just a spiderweb. It just startled me.

[ That does answer Tifa's question about whether or not the members of Yuffie's group also have the same strange affliction to them. She's pretty sure she's handled other people here and not felt this weird overflow of emotion, so is it really split up by class?

Huh... ]

After those spiders from before, I don't blame you.

[ The girl yanked her hand back pretty fast, so she won't call her out just yet. Better to ease into it when she's more calm. ]

But it does seem like this place has been abandoned for a while, huh...
