[The school is empty. The school is quiet. The only sound that cuts through the silence is the soft ticking of the hallway clocks that mark the passing of each second.]

[At least. . . until a stiff breeze whips through the classrooms, scattering dirty papers and jerking the curtains aside. The clock strikes 6:00 a.m.]
[The school bell chimes.]

It kind of seems like we got off easy compared to some of the other people here, don't you think? And that voice, or that thing outside... They're probably going to keep trying.

there actually is something that can incapacitate Mark, wholly, effectively, and with 100% success. But he's also still selfish enough that he doesn't want people he's just met to learn about it, even after their little trauma-bonding experience.

Normally I solve my problems by punching them, but I feel like that isn't going to work as well here. Do you think there are any movies that have the right idea?

Horror's not exactly my favorite genre, so I didn't go out of my way to watch a lot of movies...
But Blossom's pretty genre savvy and keeps up with a lot of media. We could ask her.

Oh, right, I remember her saying something about that. I'm not saying it's good that she's here or anything, but it is good to have someone who knows a lot! Maybe we'll get this figured out sooner rather than later after all.
