[The school is empty. The school is quiet. The only sound that cuts through the silence is the soft ticking of the hallway clocks that mark the passing of each second.]

[At least. . . until a stiff breeze whips through the classrooms, scattering dirty papers and jerking the curtains aside. The clock strikes 6:00 a.m.]

[The school bell chimes.]

[ No need for a verbal response. Minato simply nods and tears another strip of fabric from his already-ruined sleeve, using it to dab at some excess blood.

As he works, a more stable emotion may begin to seep into her, attributed to Minato's calmer disposition.

A red cherry blossom mark is visible on his inner forearm too, glowing faintly. ]

[ If nothing else, it does help; over the next few minutes the tenseness in her shoulders manages to ease up some, her breathing evening out a little more. And, to make it easier on him, she loosely unfolds her wings, though she does feel the sting where he ends up dabbing, causing small flinches here and there.

After a bit: ]

[ He doesn't respond to her voice, too engaged in cleaning up her wings. When the blood is blotted away, he tears another strip of cloth from his sleeve to bind one of the gashes.

By now, half his sleeve is gone...

He doesn't seem to mind. ]

...there. That should hold.

[ Carefully, said wings fold close to her back again; that's when she glances over to him and notices his sleeve. ]

... Your jacket is all ruined now.

It was already ruined.

[ The lower half of his sleeve was missing by the time he'd stumbled into the gymnasium, no thanks to those strange threads that coiled around his arm. Maybe that's why he doesn't seem too fussed. ]
