[ So that's what happens when you squash the spiders, huh? Not that Zuo Le would know. When he had stuck his hand inside the doll's face to look for the key, his failure meant his other wrist was quickly bound by threads too, and all he could do was shake his head wildly like a dog to try to shake them off.

Either way, the blue seems vaguely alarming, but not as much as the laughing does.

He'll approach carefully, looking deeply concerned for this kid. ]

[ it takes him a second to respond to zuo le, unsurprisingly. but when he does realize that someone's talking to him he uncurls, not sitting up but considerably less pillbug. ]

Me? [ blink, blink. ] I'm...dirty, hehe.

[ A strange thing to laugh about, but... what he just went through was pretty harrowing. It would make sense someone would have a mental break from an experience similar to that, right? ]

I'm sure we can get you cleaned up.

[ more blinking. ]

...we? [ give him a second for the gear to turn in his mind. ]

He'll squat down to put himself closer to the boy. ]

—but he's feeling a little greedy... bright blue eyes look up at the other boy. ]

[ Zuo Le offers a small, but encouraging smile as he holds his hand out towards the boy. The blue goo on his hands doesn't seem to be harming him, so Zuo Le assumes the same will be true for him too. ]

Not at all.

[ ahh...haruka smiles back and takes his hand, getting to his feet.

the blue goo is gross but it is not harmful at all, phew. ]

Thank you... umm...? [ here's where he would ask for a name but they're not supposed to do that, right? he's forgotten to let go as he processes this, oops. ]

[ He will wait until Haru seems to be steady on his feet, before subtly wiping some of it off on his already messed up tracksuit. ]

You're welcome to call me Ji if you're looking for a name. It's what I've told others to call me for the time being.

O-Oh, but Ji-san would be... [ too close to calling him an older man help. ]

Can I just call you Ji? [ this was literally just said, but dropping the honorific he would have added deems it worth repeating just to be sure! ]

[ With a difference in language here, Zuo Le just looks confused by the flustering over his fake name. It's a nice enough name, even if he's intentionally taking it from someone he has... complicated feelings of, having not wanted to borrow from a friend in the end.

He might not know what san means, but contextually he can figure this out one. ]

Of course, you don't have to worry about any special titles with me.

Just Ji then. [ he's pleased! ]

[ There's a firm nod as he looks the boy over, making sure he looks as unharmed as any of them can possibly be right now, having all received some amount of default harm. ]

he doesn't think these circumstances are all that bad tbh but he'll keep that to himself. ]

[ Oh, they're being that kind of polite, huh? Alright, Zuo Le will bow a little as well, though it's more like a slight tip of his head that he holds longer than a nod before lifting his head back up.

At which point he'll offer a very small smile as he carefully observes the other boy. ]

Now that you're upright, do you feel alright moving on your own?

[demergo]

Yeah, I'll be okay.

[ he smiles back, small. ]

[ He will have to come check on this boy again at some later point, but Zuo Le just barely bows his head once more in a thanks of his own. ]

[ Before turning to continue his slow meandering through the crowd to make sure everyone else is doing as okay as they can be considering the situations, his tail slowly swaying behind him. ]
