No matter. [ harsh words and their harsh diction aside, she's trembling slightly from all the adrenaline. ] I have spite enough to go around.

[ it's agreement, as she picks at the edge of one of her sliced-open sleeves ]

I'm guessing you got the same request -- to give them your name?

[ she feels the story is somewhat self-explained. the lacerations, if nothing else, give away the end.

[ yeah, she can make some educated guesses.

What's a "fey"?

Fairy. You know of fairies, yes?

[ but she's noticing that seems to be a bit of a theme -- her "classmates" didn't know what Majiks were, either. ]

Are they monsters?

Mmn. No, not inherently. Some easily provoked, yes; all dangerous... you would not wish to cross them. Never give fey your true name, unless you wish to be theirs forever.

'Kay, yeah. I may not know what a fey is exactly but that does line up with what it seems like we're up against ...


How do you deal with fey?

Cold iron and cleverness. And, of course, knowing its true name.

[ she huffs; ]

Oh. [ she reaches out to take her by the wrist, not in a cruel or crushing grip. merely an emphatic one. earnestly: ] If it is not your weapon already, my lady, you must make it so here.

I've got a lot of weapons. I'm versatile like that.
