What: some things happened. the school is suddenly a lot more crowded

[August 3 stars off. . . weird.]

[The morning bell chimes at 6 a.m., as it usually does! But there appears to be a very thin layer of fog settled against the ground outside. Some of it seeps into the school's hallways, before dissipating in a few wisps of haze. Weird??]

[As the day goes on, you feel like you can hear strange whispers echoing in the air-- a voice, hissing the word miiiiiiiine over and over again. Also weird!]

[And by the time the afternoon hits, you may find yourself running into some very unwanted guests. You've been here two weeks, and this is the first time you're seeing these guys?? Where have they been??]

[By the way, the nurse's office is unlocked!]

[ she wouldn't even be here if not for the crowd already gathered. consider her a nosy busybody. but she, too, can scent copper in the air and she has eyes. she can see the state of the room and the people—all from Anzen...?—in it.

[ it can't be they actually passed through the woods? ]

More like where did it find us. We were just wandering around the school when it suddenly got really foggy. I think it transported us somewhere.

We barely got back, and it was due to a light in our homeroom color.

[ demiplanes. shit. ]

What specifically about that colour?

Ah--I guess that doesn't make much sense, huh? But it was this same color. [tugs at a. . .non bloody portion of his track suit]

It's weird, we weren't sure where to go, but the light kinda called to us, it felt safe. And it turns out. . .it was. We wouldn't have escaped without it.

[ ...sinks into a crouch beside him. ]

It is not so strange, da? I wonder... if perhaps there is spirit of "Anzen", as which wrote that journal. And for all of us.

I'm hesitant to finally accept that there truly are supernatural forces at play but. . .that's not too wild of a theory.

--ah, sorry, I haven't really given it much thought, but. I'm still holding out that this is some sort of elaborate production.

That's probably a bit naive to cling to, but I'm a pretty normal guy, so I can't help it.

[ for her, it is even more difficult to imagine this all being a play, a trick. the strange and surreal are home to her.

No one is "cut out" for this. We cut ourselves through our lifetime.
