A pretty lady in sky blue smiles and waves. ]

Good evening. Hopefully this isn't a bad time? Enough time has passed that we figured it was a good idea to check in and make proper introductions.

You'll have to forgive the lack of housewarming gift. We're a bit shorthanded at the moment, which I'm sure you can relate to.

[ From behind her peers a perfectly average guy with tousled hair dressed in sky blue slacks. He gives a friendly wave! ]

[That's just because she hasn't gotten any sleep.]

We're just here to say hello. [but if she's that exhausted, maybe they should come back at another time. . . ?] Have you not been sleeping well?

... Not really. I mean, everything about this place is nightmare-inducing, right?

Did you see the cats gathered on the third floor the other day?

Hm? Yeah, they were pretty cute. And they didn't try to drag us down to hell.

What about them?

[their very first encounter with their very first spook sure did set the tone]

. . . I just didn't think they were very nightmare-inducing, you know? They're the one thing we've come across here that isn't.

Maybe spending some time with one will help you relax enough to sleep?

[She sighs, slumping a little against the counter.]

If I fall asleep out there, who knows what might happen.

What about bringing them back here? To-- [wait what is her team called again] -- the red class's dorms?

... But I guess I could do that... I'd have to ask everyone first, though. Bringing ghosts in without permission, even ghost cats, feels pretty rude.

[LISTEN. . . he hasn't been that focused on learning class names, too many other things have been happening]

Even bringing normal pets into your house without asking your roommates seems rude, so I don't blame you.

Nothing pressing. We were simply hoping to get a better sense of who we're here with, as well as ensure that everyone is holding up as well as can be expected.

It's a surprise, but not in a bad way.]

I think... we're doing okay? More or less. What about you guys?

About the same. Some of us are more accustomed to the supernatural than others, but we all appear relatively adaptable.

I guess if we made it through that first nightmare and are still standing here, we're all adaptable enough.

That's a fair point. I've yet to see anyone in the throes of a full-scale breakdown, so this must be a fairly levelheaded bunch. A silver lining.

Yeah, the only breakdown I've seen was omamori induced.

Oh? This is the first I've heard of this. What happened?

The guy tried to stop carrying around his omamori and started acting like a paranoid loser, that's what happened.

Well, at least that answers some questions about what their purpose is...

Yeah. Like we all thought, we should keep them on us as much as possible.
