[if anyone happens into the cafeteria this day, they'll likely find a pile of mildly spicy meat handpies, some noodle dishes, some rice, and mooncakes. all of them with some levels of spice to them because in this house, we indulge in our spices until we're sent back home to places where spice is expensive af.

or at least, that's the sentiment of the cook.

I wouldn't say it was skewed in the direction you're implying. There are plenty of reasons beyond morality why it would not have been wise to attempt the 100-pointers.

That's why I said "cost-benefit" and not "moral-benefit". Cost-benefit-wise, doing the 100-point tasks would have made up for the lack of numbers quickly and effectively.

Morally- and socially-speaking, however... yes, there's more cons than pros there.

Well, for my part, I'm glad no one proved enough of a liability to start killing as soon as our captors gently nudged us in that direction.

Please try to recall that most of us here are not gods. I'm not sure there's really anything "obvious" about that.

Moreover, if that were the case, why has Kin'un yet to make a peep about it?

Bringing attention to it would only draw attention to them. That is assuming that they know what happened and who the perpetrator was, which they may not.

Not really. I also have strong suspicions as to who did it.

In that case, it could also be that Gehou does not want them to do anything about it, so saying anything is pointless.

If someone is going around actively killing, I think the matter goes beyond his personal feelings.

And if it's less "going around killing" and more "killing him specifically"?

Before this place, the likelihood of ever meeting someone from that land was only not zero because of others who were stolen away.
