[a little ice breaker]
Who: everyone!
When: throughout the week of August 10
Where: everywhere
What: a little mischief
Warnings: nada!
[On August 10th, everyone wakes up to find a series of red yarn strung across the entire school. They dangle from the hallway ceilings, from the classroom door frames, even across some of the trees and bleachers outside. The ones that hang within reach feel warm to the touch! They can be pulled down and removed with little consequence.]
[However, it is not the decorative threads you should be worried about. Throughout the week, any two characters who come in close proximity with each other (they do not have to touch!) may suddenly find themselves tied together with the exact same red thread. If you're lucky, it will only link you via your wrists. If you're unlucky, it might bind you via your ankles, or even wrap you both up back-to-back like a pair of captives. Hm! Concerning!!]
[Any time two characters are tied together, a playful voice echoes in their minds: Hehe. Share a secret. . .?]
[To be released, both characters must share a secret with each other! Something that the other one doesn't know! It should be something significant; the playful threads will not let you go unless it is. But the level of significance may vary from something light to something that is not, so ultimately it is player's choice as to what secrets count and which do not!]
[. . . anyway, for anyone who wants to avoid getting caught, the nurse's office and dorm rooms are completely clear! The threads are also fickle; it is possible for two characters to hang out without being tied up together, if you don't want to play with this effect. Otherwise, go forth and mingle with some optional forced bonding!!]

That sounds less like a secret and more of an unknown fact.
Almond tofu does sound delicious...
no subject
[ it probably won't work for this huh ]
no subject
[Yeah, she's pulling, pulling, nope, no give from the strings.]
no subject
Ugh...
[ Okay, let her cook once more. ]
...Before waking up here, I was incapacitated.
[ Maybe that sounds like just another unspoken fact, but it's also true that Nei had woken up here feeling less than her best, and actively concealed it from others. ]
no subject
That's why she gets the sense, that the admittance given isn't something Rin would normally give.]
Incapacitated in what fashion?
[She tries to sound encouraging so that there can be more detail because that still wouldn't be enough for the strings she reckons.]
no subject
...I don't really know. I think my ribs were broken, at least.
[ But she was kind of too busy crashing out before passing out and waking back up here so. ]
no subject
And they weren't broken upon waking up in this school then? Though we definitely had other concerns in the moment.
no subject
...Even so, I could tell I wasn't... in peak condition, when I woke up here. But I feel great now! You've noticed that injuries heal a bit faster here, haven't you?
no subject
... And I'm glad that you've picked yourself back up, Rin. It isn't easy to admit when one has made a perceived misstep.
no subject
...Thanks. [ she looks away... ] S-So, it's your turn, isn't it?
no subject
[ummmmMMMMMMMhmmmmMMmmmm there's a long pause.]
...
...
I'm the one molting feathers all over the dorm.]
no subject
Huh? I can't hear you!
no subject
I'm the one shedding feathers all over the dorm. And parts of the campus.
no subject
huh ]
And why are you shedding feathers, exactly..?!
no subject
I am terribly, extremely, horrifically, and perhaps overly stressed due to our circumstances and the duration of our stay being never ending.
...
...
...
Also, I'm half-Avian.
no subject
Oh. So you're like a beastman, then! Why didn't you say so earlier!?
no subject
I said I'm half. And that's why I kept it to myself.
[She casts her gaze to the ground, half-heartedly kicking some of the string.]
When we were talking about where we all came from, it was clear that your concept of what Beastmen is was different from mine.
no subject
Sure, but at least I have some concept of beings with animal features. Even if it's different, you could have explained it to me instead of keeping it as a secret! What's with that?
no subject
I'm sorry. After all we've been through so far, I really should have trust everyone a lot more.
... Back home, I wasn't made to feel especially confident about being half-human. In the history of my world, the relations between Beastmen and humans were poisoned by the latter. Beastmen were enslaved, though that isn't the case anymore.
As for myself, my excuse is weak, but I've only started to become accustomed to being among mostly humans.
no subject
Hmph. It's the same where I'm from, between Bestmen and humans.
[ And, given that, she can see a little better why Brisa might have concealed that fact about herself. ]
...I guess you didn't really need an excuse. But I know I won't treat you any differently, and I don't think any of the others will, either. [ a beat. ] Come to think of it, doesn't our class seem to favor birds...?
[ Brisa, Dove, and Cadence... they all have some kind of bird-related thing going on... ]
no subject
[Cadence with her birds, Dove's wing's, and herself... Strange, but in an amusing way.
Speaking of...]
... I should probably be forthright with the others, especially Dove. I don't want her to think her wings are shedding.
[because she's the culprit yup and she does feel bad about not saying anything and letting her make assumptions]
But Rin, thank you. Hearing you say that makes me feel very relieved. You have a good heart.
