Who: Anzen + visitors (I see you, Sherlock Holmes)
When: Post-game
Where: The Anzen dorm!
What: Definitely not having a nervous breakdown.
Warnings: We're all haunted as fuck so idk maybe some spider mentions.
[ Hey we are all here and some of us are adjusting to the idea of ghosts being real! How's that going? ]

Gambling is not my preferred vice. [...Ah, what would Watson have to say about all of this?] Besides, I believe our "blessings" more accurately represent the opposite effect.
[Clicks his tongue, re-reading the second page.]
As your journal may also imply.

[blinks a little]
What do you mean?

[Turns the journal around, finger on the part that reads:]
"Even when I'm with the others, they'll always come after me first..." To have terrible things drawn to you is very much the opposite of feeling safe or protected.

[FACE OF A MAN WHO HADN'T CONSIDERED THAT POSSIBILITY]

— should I be taking that from you so you don't walk away with it?
[that is their journal, sir!!!]

With a thin smile, he closes the journal and offers it back.]
I'm not stricken by the urge right now.
[C-comforting?]

[squints at his guest a little bit, but still seems satisfied either way, even though his features do pinch together a li'l bit]
. . . as far as I know, we haven't "drawn" anything in yet.
Other than the creature outside the window, that is.

[one more mystery to add to the ever-growing list]
However, this does imply the existence of other singular entities that could be encountered as a group. In which case, I would conduct as much caution as you can when you explore this place, Mr Bean. [as ruggie called him] They may be more interested in you than the rest.

Puck. I'm going by Puck! Not Mister Bean!

. . . caution is the name of the game, though. We've already discussed how to take care of ourselves.

[He is. Teasing. Wryly.]

. . . being cautious when we venture out.

Remaining in a group may aid with that. [(guy who went off on his own already)]

That does feel a little hypocritical when I don't see anyone else from your class here.
[a li'l grin, though. he is poking fun]

[Called out.]
I am used to striking out on my own. [Well. He used to be. He can be again.] The rest of my class is due for a rest, besides, and I'll not expect them to match my energy tonight.
no subject
. . . I'd scold you for not resting yourself, but something tells me you wouldn't be able to even if you tried.

Can't imagine why.
[a beat. eyeing their visitor up and down with open curiosity]
. . . did you believe in ghosts before all of this?
no subject
The simple answer is no, I did not.
The nuanced answer is that I did believe in evils in the world that might, at times, exist beyond the realm of humankind's ken. However. All such evils I'd encountered were that of man's doing, and they were what I ever cared to focus on. Unaffected, my interests ever remained elsewhere.
[He didn't care about the supernatural. It was always, always disproven for a more devious reason.]
no subject
I think the evils of humankind are more terrifying than any ghost story could ever be.
[. . .]
. . . or so I did before now!
no subject
Before now, yes, I would have to agree. [But to say such a thing...] Might I ask what you did for a living before you arrived here? [lol]
no subject
Oh. . . I'm a bit of a jack of all trades. I accepted work wherever I could find it.
no subject
Wherever you could find it... So you're well-traveled, too.
no subject
Right. I was actually traveling before I was brought. . . here.
[gestures!!]
It was supposed to be a vacation while I was in between jobs.
