[ this morning, two Kin'uns are at the bulletin board, adding a new entry, and then simply loitering nearby.

Ms Fairplay, notably, has her arm in a sling. Mister Adair... fares better, with a few scratches upon his hands and face. both of them look... pecked. ]

There. [ says Ms Fairplay, of her clumsy signage. ]

Maintaining a barrier. Do you suppose that is something which a flame might indicate?

If the school and its roof are centerpoint to where people find themselves turned around when trying to leave the area, then yes. I'd strongly suspect it feeds the barrier which keeps us here.

Add it to the list of theories, then. In which case, we can only assume it is protected.

The other alternative is that it is a source of our protection, rather than our imprisonment.

I would also be hesitant to let people near something beneficial to them.

But the barriers between us and it does make me think more about the barrier.

Hm. It is as valid a theory as any other. For now, there is no further way to verify, unless any of us are able to reach the roof — and now you've thrown into question the wisdom of that venture.

One should exercise great caution when it comes to the unknown.
