Who: Mister Adair, Ms Fairplay, and you!
When: September 15
Where: At the bulletin board
What: A warning
Warnings: none
[ this morning, two Kin'uns are at the bulletin board, adding a new entry, and then simply loitering nearby.
Ms Fairplay, notably, has her arm in a sling. Mister Adair... fares better, with a few scratches upon his hands and face. both of them look... pecked. ]
There. [ says Ms Fairplay, of her clumsy signage. ]

Cadence is here, with her bird, silently reading the bulletin about other birds. It's bird-to-bird rivalry here. The raven's expression, especially, radiates "this sign won't stop me because I can't read."]
You know some of us are holding onto wings, right?

Noted for the next time we require a birds'-eye view. This time, Kin'un would be the only ones to bear the consequences of their choices.
[Or more precisely: two of them.]
Consequences that were mild, all things considered. [don't look at ms fairplay's dislocated shoulder]

Cadence looks silently at Ms. Severine, so quiet that he might assume she's brewing up some kind of retort for that. Then, she turns back with a shrug.]
Aaaaanyway, you're not spry enough to go up the scaffolding while you leave your kids down on the ground. Think of what kind of example you're setting.
[...Oh, so this might be a little bit about the guilt of Nei getting snatched away under her watch.]

He has probably heard about poor Nei, maybe even via courtesy of Mr Kazu, so this tidbit is taken into consideration though not addressed just yet.]
I may not be superhuman, but I can manage to climb up a few storeys. [He is a detective of many skills, and climbing to high places when he probably should not is one of them. Granted, three storeys was pushing it for him, but he didn't even have to worry about that much — they only made it halfway.] And when it comes to the keenest curiosities and mysteries, I rather like to take the approach myself.
However, if you are offering your wings for a future endeavor...
me tagging holmes experiments and realizing this tag was lost to me
[Except actual wealth.
But she is saying she can't really help but stick her nose into things. Unfortunately, that tendency has roped the students in Yakuyoke homeroom into more trouble than she'd really like to admit.]
If you spot the bird, you can always ask.
no worries!!! holds it close
If you mean that, I will hold you to it, Ms Cadence.

And after two months, it is only those without who made climb. Did we not at least try?

But it's that encounter with the shed that probably has Raven a little on edge, testy not from physical pain but from the concern of her missing student. Maybe she should have kept the tape over her mouth a little bit longer for everyone's sake.]
Yeah, but no man is an island. You could have asked around...maybe when you came by to pick up your kid from messing with mine.
[There may have been another altercation with Nessa.]

What.

[Normally, she can appreciate an outspoken and talkative young woman. She'd even be praising Nessa for her gumption, if not her attitude and her rudeness toward her peers. That's not really the case here.]

however.
something more important has come to light. ]
Who went missing? One of your class? Yakoyuke.
no subject
Yeah. Rin.
She hasn't "graduated," either. She was with it when it happened. The equipment shed opened up just long enough to lock her inside. After we put out our nicest requests and everything, but whatever's haunting that shed isn't the friendly kind of spirit.
Can't even pass a piece of paper through the cracks in the door; otherwise, I'd go in after her.

Koromaru first, and now this "Rin". her stomach, already churning, clenches tight and cold. there's a hardness coming into her gaze, one which is not directed towards Cadence, but certainly manifests to her. ]
How long was this? Take me there. Quickly.
no subject
...Right. Probably falling off the side of the building. It'd line up, schedule-wise, and it explains how she didn't know they were climbing and they didn't know about the shed.]
It was after that mess with the cafeteria...probably while you were on your little adventure. We had to clean it up to say sorry. [Raven snorts. She doesn't feel sorry at all, and she's not about to be silenced.]

And it took one of your own. Took how?

Doors opened up, something in the darkness dragged her in, doors slammed shut in our faces.
[There's a long list of things she should have done while watching this happen—things she wasn't physically able to do. She could have sent the bird flying in after Rin before the door slammed shut or thrown some ink into the yawning darkness. Anything that could at least keep track of the girl, but it was all blown back in their faces.
It's bad, really bad, that it happened on Cadence's watch. Rin's always been a reckless kid, though. She couldn't have ever discouraged her from coming along.]

Do you hear her within? Crying out? Moving?
no subject
[A problem, at least, that Katsumori will later solve...that yet will offer no solution to the mystery of the missing girl.]

Think of it like...a heist. A reverse kidnapping. We're better off going in the back way...or underground.
