Yes. There are different levels. Getting into it too deeply is not advisable, though. The higher one goes, the more cursed the knowledge.

But I can say that it is no easy feat to gather up to forty-something odd souls from different worlds and bring them to one unique location.

That's why it's less about "good" and "bad" and more about... what the ultimate goal is.

Not to say ends justify the means, but I've known occasions where unsavory things had to occur before any positive could be gleaned from the situation.

Though I don't really think that's the case here, it's still a possibility.
