... I feel it's suffice to say that I am not human any longer, and thus operate with a bit of different rules.

There could be a chance that if I become close to losing control, a prayer to a certain entity may be answered.

That entity is me. But also, a bit different. I can adjust the prayer so it won't call on any real names, but does target what may help me regain some control.

Would you be willing to do something like that?

I've never known any prayers to me as having to be selective with who prays?

It doesn't mean you are a follower or worshipper or anything like that. People have used deities' names in vain all the time. And it's just six key phrases and your request. Nothing else is needed or required. You do not even have to speak it aloud, if that's a preference. I'm not overly choosy, unlike some others.

You may even feel a little silly for it.

If it doesn't need to be someone devout or even neutral about religion or gods, then it should be fine. But it might not hurt to find a backup in case it doesn't work coming from me.
