[The morning bell chimes at 6 a.m., as it usually does! But there appears to be a very thin layer of fog settled against the ground outside. Some of it seeps into the school's hallways, before dissipating in a few wisps of haze. Weird??]

[As the day goes on, you feel like you can hear strange whispers echoing in the air-- a voice, hissing the word miiiiiiiine over and over again. Also weird!]

[And by the time the afternoon hits, you may find yourself running into some very unwanted guests. You've been here two weeks, and this is the first time you're seeing these guys?? Where have they been??]

[By the way, the nurse's office is unlocked!]

There was fog here earlier in the day as well. Did anything about it stand out to you?

Nothing more ominous than usual. It's possible this could be. . .our fault, if our so called affliction is to be believed.

It's a working theory, but yep. That, or we were simply in the wrong place at the wrong time.

That's the plan. . .you all should take a look at the office. If an area like this was locked, that probably means others are as well.

That would be . . . the music room, the home economics classroom, the kitchen, the storage room in the store, and the equipment shed. The rooftop is also inaccessible.

That likely hasn't changed; however, now that it's been opened, I would like to catalogue what's inside the office.

Mm, feel free. As soon as Styx feels well enough to be moved, we're leaving before we attract anything else. I'd urge everyone to familiarize themselves with this office.

Fortunately, or perhaps, ominously, it's very well stocked, even including refrigerated blood packs and a transfusion set up. There are also books to familiarize yourself with such procedures.

If possible, I'd take stock of your classmate's blood types. Just in case.

I wonder where the blood was sourced from, though. Has anyone attempted a transfusion yet?

No idea, but it seems to do the trick. We had to use it on Styx. Because, well. That gash was far larger a while ago.

Aha, that? I kinda dragged it along out of habit, a souvenir of sorts. Bombon wants to study it, so I'm passing it off to her.

No one in particular. I used to travel back home so I have something of a bad habit of bringing strange and unique things back home with me. Feathers and bones included.

And you would display them . . . over your bed?

Mmhm. Or use them in crafts, put them in a scrapbook, sometimes make jewelry. Ah, sometimes I'd accidentally bring something back valuable, get it appraised, and sell it.

But most often, I give them to others who don't get a chance to travel. I guess I'm continuing that trend here, giving it to her.

Yep. But she didn't have a chance to nab one herself, so, I think it still counts as a souvenir.

This one bit me on my leg and wouldn't let go, so, Styx sliced it in half. It was pretty cool.

And that was enough to kill it . . . proving that they can be defeated.
