[ Maybe you saw the invite slipped under your dorm door or maybe you followed the trail of confetti leading down the hall, but one way or another..! Welcome to Hanabi's birthday party! ]

[ Kai-un has taken over an empty classroom and decked it out in full party style! Balloons, streamers, the works! The desks have been shoved to the side of the room to clear space for mingling and dancing, and the teacher's desk has been turned into a snack buffet. It looks like there's even party favors...!

So grab a drink, get some cake, and have fun! ]

But truthfully I'm a little new to them myself. At least on the party side of things.

Yep! Celebrations are... a lot more modest, though. Kind of lacking in access to little luxuries like this. Not to mention the time to set aside for it.

Celebrating that someone was born seems a bit unnecessary. [ he might be a little salty about it. just a bit. ] Would I be correct to assume this was Eowyn-guniang's idea, then?

When it came to the details of putting it together, yeah, mostly. But I gotta admit, when I saw that parties were on the task list for the fundraiser, I thought it'd be a good idea. Timing kind of worked out perfectly for it and all, and another team had birthday party a few weeks back. So I figured another would be fun.

... it does seem like perfect timing. [ he admits. ... only now is he considering whether or not he wants Kai-un to win the game. many things to consider. ]

What are these? [ he nudges one of the balloons, which floats back and forth at the light force ]

These? [She nabs one from the air, squishing it lightly.] They're balloons. Mostly just exist as fun decorations, since they float around and all.

Decorations? They look like they would make good target practice to me.

I guess there's no rules against using 'em for some practice.

[ he reaches up to gently rap on one of them with his knuckles. though "gently" still sends it kind of flying a ways, before it comes back. y'know cause it's a balloon. ]

Eowyn-guniang may not be happy if I mess with her decorations. Though they do amuse me.

Yeah, maybe not the best idea while the party's going on. [And she's grinning a little.] But hey, there's always after.

... this is true. Maybe after, if Kin'un wins, I can practice my cultivation on these balloons.
