It's cute, but... flowers are more Aerith's thing, right?

[ So is it weird for her to steal that... ]

It doesn't have to be just her thing. Besides, you can go by Tiger. Because you're as fierce and badass as one.

More importantly, we have to match!

[ she just decided this ]

[ Yuffie, please... that's so sweet, actually??? ]

I guess you're right... [ About the Aerith thing. After all, it hadn't stopped Yuffie from the whole "White Rose" shtick. Tifa's probably the only person who thinks so hard about things like this. ]

Matching isn't a bad idea, actually. It might help remind people that we're from the same place...

[ tifa is so quiet, (in comparison) she likes making her smile.... ]

[ okei yuffie ] Right! And Usagi plus the two girls with me are gonna do the same thing. So we should totally match. Heh heh.

[ Tifa just shakes her head in fond exasperation. That's Yuffie for you.

But okay, she can get behind matching. And really, "Tiger Lily" isn't such a bad name either. ]

[ And then she remembers what happened when she first reached the dorms. ]

Oh! By the way, did you find anything of yours in your dorm room?

[ yayyy they're matchies. as for tifa's question, she produces an orb of fire materia, rolling it along her arms ]

[ Tifa just laughs. It's hard not to find Yuffie's excitement infectious. ]

It didn't take me that long, did it?

[ But then she sees that shining green orb of Materia and her eyes go wide. ]

Hey, nice! I just got my gloves. Have you tried it out yet?

[ Please tell her it's a Cure Materia... ]

It took longer than it should have.

[ it took like 2 minutes calm down yuffie ]

Yep! It's Fire Materia. I'm ont step closer to full power!

I was hoping for Cure, but... Fire's good too. That should be pretty effective against ghosts, right?

Maybe Cure'll be next. [ no they won't be so lucky ] And hell yeah! It's not like we haven't dealt with monsters and creeps before, anyway.

[ she wasn't in part 1 she didn't fight ghosts though ]

Ghosts are... kind of their own thing, it feels like.

[ Translation: she's scared of them!! Not that she's going to admit to that.

She squares her shoulders and gives a small pump of her fist. ]

But I'm sure we'll figure out a way to take them down, no matter what. Especially since who knows how the others are doing without us.

[ She tries to make light of it, like Cloud's hopeless without them, but doesn't quite get there, so she really just sounds concerned.

You fought ghosts before?

[ there were the gi, but those aren't quite ghosts.... ]

Well, Cloud's probably acting super weird without you.... but Aerith might be able to handle it for now. Until we get back.

[ yuffie manages to sound more lighthearted, at least, even if she is similarly concerned about cloud's behavior as of late. unlike tifa, she would have seen cloud acting even more insane because she's a little ahead ]

Oh, yeah. I mean, there were the Gi, but also in the train graveyard back in Midgar.

[ Somehow they'd been able to fight them off even though they were ghosts, so... hopefully it'll be the same thing here.

Unsurprisingly, Yuffie just bluntly references what's going on with Cloud. "Acting super weird" is putting it lightly, but she does have a point about Aerith. ]

... Right. Between her and Barret, they'll keep things under control, but we need to find our way back as soon as we can.

The freakin' Gi, man. You think that's what we're dealing with, here?

[ despite them agreeing to get the black materia for them, they'd still gotten attacked.... ]

[ yuffie thinks about the way that he completely shut down aerith's inspirational speech, and opts not to share that tidbit ]

We sure do! No one's getting their grubby mits on my materia.

[ aka she's worried about the others and fronting a little. it's fine. ]

I don't know. This doesn't really feel the same as them, does it?

[ Nor does Tifa really think that the Gi are capable of something like this. It seems like power on a whole other level, like those "Aeons" that the dour man from her group had described.

Yuffie's priorities are always enough to lighten the mood a little, even if Tifa expects that she's a lot more worried than she's letting on. She doesn't reach out for her to confirm, though, realizing that would be a breach of trust. ]

At least you've got the one? But... yeah, we should see what we can find tomorrow, once it's light out.

[ yuffie shivers. she doesn't want to deal with the gi again anytime soon, they creeped her out. though she doesn't have the same fear of ghosts that tifa does, who wouldn't be unnerved by a bunch of undead warriors? ]

[ yuffie bounces a little in place, trying to project confidence ]

This one's a good start. But, yeah, yeah, let's meet up tomorrow and see what we can find out. The girls and I are gonna keep watch tonight.

[ The Gi had definitely been unnerving, but the fact that they could talk and reason (some of them, at least) had helped her deal with it a bit better. They were more than just faceless, creepy ghosts.

And their situation, well... it was sad, wasn't it?

At the mention of keeping watch, Tifa glances back over and nods. ]

That's not a bad idea, maybe we'll do the same... [ She says this, but she's absolutely going to crash early for curse reasons. ] Other than Botan and Blossom, what are the others on your team like?

[ it definitely was a sad situation, but not so sad that yuffie would be okay giving them the black materia. in fact, that's one piece of materia that probably shouldn't be in anyone's hands. ]

You should! Then we can trade notes in the morning. [ nooo tifaaaaaa ] Pretty fun. One's a superhero. Another's a soldier. I like 'em.

[ Wow, she's not going to call anyone a stinker!!

Although something else Yuffie said catches Tifa's attention, aside from the mention of a soldier. She's going to assume that she means a regular soldier, not a SOLDIER, or it wouldn't have been said so casually. ]

A superhero...?

[ so dimitri. got it. no, jk ]

[ but yeah, she did say 'soldier' very casually and didn't make a big deal of it, so tifa's assumptions are likely right ]

Yep. He can fly and everything. Wild, huh?

[ They can just fly? That's a different level than SOLDIERs who can leap far distances. Somehow she doesn't think it's like Sephiroth with his wing, either... ]

I think so. It's badass either way.
