[You wake up the morning of September 8, and. . . the food is burnt again. Worse than it was last weekend. There is barely anything edible in the morning breakfast spread. Maybe you choke it down anyway? Maybe you decide to wait and see if lunch is any better? Either way, it isn't ideal. This sucks! What is even going on??]

[Thankfully, by the time lunch rolls around, the food seems to be back to normal. . . although there are an awful lot of Kenkou's hanging around the newly opened kitchen door]

We could not see the enemy until the freezer door was opened. This was unavoidable. But once we ascertained the nature of its attack - which was firing scissors as artillery - we should have fallen back and regrouped.

Its range was severely limited to the opening of the doorway, and so was its ammunition. So long as we were not within the range of its sight, we would not take damage.

However, the most disastrous strategy possible in that moment would be to throw ourselves into that bottleneck without any form of shielding.

But we did not establish a chain of command. We were uncoordinated, as a team. I am accustomed to operating as soldier - and falsely assumed that the others had knowledge of military tactics, instead of foreseeing that they would be acting as individuals.

Snowdrop did, which is why I assigned her to stay in the back line. She's always been upfront about being a civilian noncombatant.

As Citrine lied about his skills, I assumed he would stay out of the line of fire due to being a noncombatant as well.

Tiger Lily is actively combating a world destroying force back home, but I wrongly associated her high level of power with the size of her organization.

So you were working off of half-assed assumptions and stuff you couldn't have known in a split second situation, aside from Snowdrop who was honest.

What we should have done was planned our operation more thoroughly, before engaging. I should have run through possible scenarios.

Perhaps it was that I did not wish to be presumptuous. I'm the youngest member on Kenkou, after all.

None of us had any reason to think it'd happen again! And once it did happen, I doubt you guys had time to "run through scenarios".

Be that as it may, Mamoru and Hiro should probably prepare Shiawase for the prospect of undergoing something similar.
