[ He doesn't recognize the extent of the offer, but he knows she loves the stuff, so there's still meaning in it being offered at all. It would be cool; that's all he knows for now.

His expression falls at mention of Yuma, though. ]

Yeah... I dunno, I think he'll be okay, but we can't really leave that to chance, can we.

[ Pause. Because there are other things about Yuma that worry him, but... that's not an issue right now, so it's okay. ]

We should probably figure out attack plans or strategies or something... like forming a protective circle around the ones who can't fight back and figuring out how to attack from that position. With and without Mamoru on the outer circle.

Right. We need to make sure we have a plan in case that happens.

Well, I'm gonna teach the girls some basic self-defense. But the two of us -- plus Mamoru if he's up and Koromaru, can cover 'em. Worst comes to worst, we can pick one to defend.

Oh, that's awesome. I'm probably not a good teacher but every little bit we can do for ourselves makes our chances that much better. It really might come down to the smallest thing.

Maybe we should try practising with just the two of us, too... See if there's some way to combine my flight with your fire. I dunno, but right now we're kind of the two most reliable heavy hitters, aren't we?

At least until Koromaru can use his gun thing properly again... But if we're the first line of defence, I'd like to make sure nothing gets past us.

But yeah, we should practice on some monsters or something, just the two of us.

[ All of them. He nods, because she's right. Between diminished powers and people not used to fighting both, they're at a distinct disadvantage — which means those of them who do fight need to be as on the ball as possible.

You wanna go monster hunting? [ Perking right up at the notion. Nevermind how the movement makes his shoulder sting and he winces; what if they went monster hunting! ] Maybe we should save the ghosts we can't hurt for later, but we've gotta be able to kill some of those things out there. Learn more about what we're up against in the process, maybe come up with some new ideas.
