Botan and I were talking about that too. I wouldn't know where to go other than the library to try to figure this out, assuming the ghosts haven't already removed any books we could actually use from there — but it's definitely worth a look.

I visit the library frequently, so I can take a look the next time I return a book. There is also someone in the yellow class who might have the know-how . . .

I agree. Sharing what we know and receiving assistance in return should improve our collective odds of leaving this school. Do you suppose he'll be making a friendly visit again?

It's like what Shiawase wrote in the journal — as long as we stick together. I think that means everyone, though, not just the six of us... I'm also starting to think we can trust them to keep us safe.

And yeah, I think he's the type who can't stay away for too long. As long as it's friendly then there's no problem, right?

[ They actually ended up on good terms during his first visit, Mark thinks! So there's hope yet. ]

[The way Yuma understands it, friendly to Holmes is a polite exchange of information, so there should, in fact, be no problem with maintaining this. As Mark is saying, it makes more sense to cast a wider net and consider the forced student body as a single collective.]

[ It is, perhaps, the easiest time he's ever had lying through his teeth, because the sentiment remains effectively true. Every single thing Mark has shared with Shiawase, he is totally fine with sharing with the other classes. He is an open book,

except for a few things, but that goes for everyone, so it's not a problem. ]

Keeping secrets only hurts us in the end, right?

[ Unless they're secrets that can be used to hurt him, specifically. Those ones he'll be keeping to himself. ]

[This simplifies things for Yuma if anyone ever asks after Mark. It's an exemplary decision, enough so that he pauses to think.]

[Whether it's his unusual state of life after death or his crimes, he wonders if the former in particular might yield some results.]

Like, it wouldn't have done any good for people not to know I'm a superhero, right? Because that way they know I can help them in ways that others can't. So... unless you think your body might give out at some point, [ or your mind, but he isn't going to say that, ] then really, it's up to you. Just as long as it wouldn't hurt people not to know in the long run, right?

[A phantom twinge blooms in his temple at Mark's words. He closes his eyes for a moment and opens them again once the sensation has passed.]
