[Anyway, remember how he visited every single dorm because he had too much energy and couldn't sleep?

He is now lain across the couch, taking up the entire space, eyes closed, doing absolutely nothing. A burning cigarette is held in one hand, eking a lazy thread of smoke into the air.]

[ haruka's nearby with a sketchpad, looking up every once and a while, an eye towards the cigarette. he's being helpful by making sure it doesn't fall and set the entire dorm on fire.

though, is holmes actually asleep? ]

[Set his own living space on fire accidentally? He would never do that. (turns your face gently away from canon)

It's hard to tell if he's asleep or not. He certainly hasn't moved in a long time. But, perhaps, he does not have the deep breathing patterns of someone who is really asleep.]

[ he worked hard, he deserves it!

once haruka judges he actually is asleep, he'll get a blanket from somewhere and lay it over him gently. he's helping!!!!

actually is there an ashtray anywhere here? probably not but he will find a substitute of some kind, probably a small bowl that he oh so discreetly slides under to catch the ash. ]

[ plucks it.

brings it to her lips. ]

[His hand flies up, suddenly, trying to snatch it back, or halt her by the wrist. But… too slow.

Eyes open, looking up at her. That unflattering feeling of having lost something that belongs to him rings in his mind, but thankfully it is subdued for now.

Drops his hand down. Just this face.]

[ Severine isn't so much as looking at him. her gaze is lowered, heavy-lashed, as she sets the cigarette between her lips... and takes a single, beautiful draw. hold. mmh, feel the nicotine rush.

then...

exhaaaaaale.

she holds it back out to him. ]

[ For his part, Crow is tying a double saber (a weapon that somewhat resembles two swords with their butts glued together) to his back.  ]

Now this is a step in the right direction.

[ the only reason haruka isn't running away is because this is crow. ]

[ He grins though, and adds in a stage whisper: ]

No kidding! Can't say I liked waking up without it. I know I had it with me before I--

[ He starts to say something, cuts himself off, and then starts up again. ]

You needn't feel like you have anything to hide, Mr Schwarzer, other than your true name. [mr not mentioning he's a detective and does not plan to] I hope we have not given you the impression of overly judgmental individuals to cause such hesitation and correction.

[Girl doesn't come back for a while and when she does, she more sulks into the dorm than anything. Whatever she was off doing, it doesn't look like it had the desired result. Frankly, she doesn't look happy that she had to enter the dorm at all.]

[Still, she speaks up when she does enter.]

I need to talk to all of you about something. Something important.

[ He glances over at her and nods. ]

Yo, what's up?

[ He, uh, also has a huge double saber strapped to his back now.  ]

"That" is my double saber.

[  He cannot physically manifest sparkles, but it isn't for lack of trying. ]

[ looks up from his doodling. ]

Yeah. Botan-san gave it to me.

[ it's from the art room but his brain supplies that answer instead because she physically gave it to him. ]

[He has peeled himself off the couch at this point; from lying down to sitting on one cushion, legs pulled up.

Must be quite important if she's willing to speak with him now.]

Actually I got something else I wanna say to you first.

[ a certain Mister Adair won't leave the only seating they have in the common area, and so she's retreated to her room, where she's lain down on the bed with her hair strewn around her. the door is nearly-closed, but cracked...

and she can hear Girl enter, and then speak.

lifts her face...

hauls herself up, too. over to linger in the door, one hand on the frame. ]
