( she coughs into her free hand- it sounds particularly harsh- while she tries to hold out a dark blue yearbook. )

Mm... it doesn't make a lot of sense to me, but we haven't been able to find out much, yet. When the majority of us first arrived, we were separated into groups named after the different types of omamori. They're color coded, divided by dorms, and... we share a curse.

Trying to stay at another dorm for more than just a day is dangerous as well, so we're meant to stick together.

( she holds out the yearbook. )

[ he moves to her side, leaning to peer down at the yearbook. ]

What is this about a curse?

( she's been trying to get him to take it so he can take a look himself, please father- )

In exchange for protection from some of the more malevolent things here, we must carry the curse of what was presumably our predecessor- those of Kenkou are afflicted with poor health, frailty and fatigue.

I've spent more time here sick than I ever have in my life...

[ he takes the book in one hand, and begins to carefully flip through it. ]

I was bedridden for a little over a week our first month here. Its dreadful. But we don't seem to be contagious- a small blessing, when resources are hard to get...

.. well. A small silver lining, I suppose. Inclination toward illness means that we should rest as much as possible, when we can.

[ he's staring for several moments.. then snaps from his reverie. ]

Tifa's wandering the halls herself, in a bit of a daze, when she spots an unfamiliar face. She knows now that people have been arriving after the initial group, but this is the first time she's seen someone in her homeroom's colors.

Her eyes go wide and she stops short. ]

[ jing yuan smiles genially, warmly, as he turns from the window he'd been gazing through. ah, he sees the colors she is wearing. ]
