Anyway, she spends a lot of the time pacing worriedly around the dorm, but every so often she'll peek in to wherever any of the others are: ]
How are you doing? Are you sure you don't need me to grab anything else for you...? It isn't a problem for me to go get anything, promise!

Her eyes have been darting around back and forth ever since they returned to the gymnasium. She jumped when spoken to and when everyone headed back to their dorms, she stayed behind, arms wrapped around herself and keeping her eyes to the floor.
Back in the Yakuyoke dorm, she's sitting with her knees against her chest and arms wrapped around them. Dove's snack run is appreciated, but it's not like she has much of an appetite. To make her efforts worth it though, she speaks up.]
Some... Water or the boxed juice if you please.
no subject
[ She's super quick to hand Brisa... both a water bottle and a juice box. ]
Take both! It should help.
[ How so? Well, don't ask her, actually. ]
no subject
[She'll take both, gratefully, although her face is still glum.]
... I'm still seeing things. I don't know how long it will last.

She stops sleeping in her room, relegating herself to the couch and to sitting by the door like a guard dog without a purpose, gun in hand. When people visit, she answers — and she stays up well into the night making sure no one comes by. She should at least be good for something.
All those among their number who are affected who try to leave or even just enter the living room — she interjects nigh immediately. ]
You shouldn't — [ This comes out of a place of protectiveness and worry, amped up after all they had done for her just a few days ago... but it's also assertive, aggressive, in a way. Even if she has to force it, she doesn't want to let any of them push themselves back out into the school until they're feeling better. ] What did you want? I'll just do it.

a polite knock.]
no subject
...Did you need something?
no subject
[holds up bag of cafeteria food things.]
If you should like to stay in, I've ensured enough for your group.
no subject
Um... thanks. [ ... ] Were you not affected on that "field trip," or something?
[ That's her kneejerk assumption — only people in states like that could go play instacart, right??? ]

...Well, I wasn't. [ bluntly. ] How is doing this supposed to be helping you?
no subject
... engaging with my own humanity, you could say.
That is, interacting with others, in fact, helps.
no subject
Then, she makes a small noise of understanding at his explanation. ]
Your own "humanity?"
no subject
But I was human, once.
I find that I can manage the inhuman side of myself wanting to berserk by taking this approach.
no subject
So you won't hurt anyone, you mean.
no subject
Some of it is also pure self-preservation.
I won't claim only altruism.
But yes. I'd rather not hurt anyone over my own fears.
no subject
I understand... [ If it's something out of his control, well... it's not something she can really hold against him. At the very least, he's here trying to combat it. ] Did being in those caves remind you of it?
no subject
The caves just had... a very vivid vision.

I'm... I'm sorry. I'm out of sorts. This is no way to greet a guest.
no subject
he manages to keep a straight face.]
... it's alright.
My classmate Ji has an effect where he sees everyone as having grotesque injuries.
no subject
[It's little relief to know that other people are also plagued with illusions, but it's something. Fio swallows and nods.]
I'm... Seeing people set alight and being burnt alive.
[She'll just leave out being chased by a big firebird spirit out of it, it's all fake anyway. Fake, but awful.]
I know it's fake, but even the smell is uncanny.
no subject
[holds up bag of foods]
I mostly came by to ensure your group's seen to.
no subject
[She's not sure if she has much of an appetite, but it's better to eat just a little than nothing at all.]
And dutiful. You didn't have to, but you did anyway.
no subject
no subject
Fortunately, I don't think it's made me want to endanger anyone.
no subject
no subject
Understood. Is there anyone else that you're aware of that are suffering illusions in the same vein as we are aside from the classmate you mentioned?

She's being oddly clingy towards her classmates in particular, insisting on accompanying them wherever, or never being too far behind, occasionally staring very intently from around the corner, or even straight up approaching as if to check for injuries. You know, just in case. ]
